EMED Group hosted its second annual Shining Stars Recognition Event in September – a celebration of exceptional colleagues and the extraordinary impact they have across our services every single day.
Throughout the year, individuals and teams have been nominated for Shining Star Awards for demonstrating exceptional commitment to our organisational values and consistently delivering excellence for patients and service users.
Last month, 50 of our most outstanding Shining Star winners came together for a fully-funded recognition day at Whittlebury Park near Silverstone. It was an opportunity to connect, reflect and shine a light on the people who quietly keep our service moving day after day, shift after shift.
We celebrated remarkable moments of bravery, including:
• A Swindon crew who triaged and treated several injured people after a serious taxi collision before paramedics had even arrived.
• An ACA from BGSW who, in only her second week with EMED, calmly dealt with two life-threatening emergencies.
Alongside these incredible stories, we recognised the sustained excellence of colleagues who consistently go above and beyond, whether out on the road, supporting control rooms, or working behind the scenes to keep data flowing and operations steady.
Plans are already underway for our 2026 Recognition Event, where we’ll come together again to celebrate next year’s Shining Stars.
