Created by EMED Group and launched in 2024, the Foundation exists to provide practical support to colleagues facing hardship, strengthen local communities and help people overcome barriers to employment.
Our mission is simple: to make a positive difference to people’s lives by creating opportunities, providing support and helping communities thrive.

Why we exist
At EMED, we see every day how unexpected challenges can affect people’s lives.
Illness, injury, financial hardship and social disadvantage can have a significant impact on individuals, families and communities.
The EMED Foundation was created to provide support where it is needed most and to help create lasting positive change for the people and communities connected to our organisation.
What we do
The Foundation focuses on three key areas:
Independent and accountable
The EMED Foundation operates independently from EMED Group and is governed by its own Board of Trustees.
This independent structure helps ensure that all funding and support are managed responsibly, transparently and in accordance with the Foundation’s charitable objectives.

The success of the Foundation relies on the generosity, commitment and support of colleagues, partners, supporters and volunteers.

Every year, EMED supports millions of healthcare journeys, helping people access the care and support they need.
