EMED Safe Care is thrilled to announce our continued partnership with Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust, reaffirming our commitment to delivering safe and compassionate transport across the region.

The contract will run for a period of at least three years. It will be overseen by a dedicated operations manager and delivered by 25 road-based staff operating out of bases in Durham, Blyth and Carlisle.

EMED will support patients and CNTW healthcare professionals with:

  • Secure patient transport
  • Admissions and discharges
  • Hospital appointments
  • Sections 135 and 136 transfers
  • Bedwatch and patient companion services.

Michelle Jones, Managing Director of EMED Safe Care, commented: “This award is not only a reflection of the trust that CNTW has placed in us but also a testament to our team’s dedication to delivering patient-centred, secure transport services that make a real difference. We look forward to building on our strong relationship with CNTW, ensuring every patient continues to receive the highest standards of care.”
