Patients, carers and families in Sussex are being invited to share their views on the county’s Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service (NEPTS).

The survey, developed in partnership between Healthwatch Sussex and EMED Group, is part of our shared commitment to listening to patients and continually improving how we deliver care.

This is the first Healthwatch survey since EMED began providing the Sussex NEPTS contract in April 2025, and it builds on months of co-production work between our teams. Healthwatch Sussex has taken a leading role in championing patient voice throughout the process – their earlier collaboration with NHS Sussex during the procurement stage was recognised with a regional award for excellence.

The survey asks for feedback on all aspects of the service, from booking and communication through to journey experience and staff support. The findings will help both EMED and NHS Sussex understand what’s working well and where further improvements can be made.

If you have used patient transport in Sussex since April 2025, or have applied for the service, we encourage you to take part. The survey is open until November 2025.

For anyone who prefers to share their experience directly, you can also contact your local Healthwatch office in Brighton & Hove, East Sussex or West Sussex.
