EMED Group is proud to announce the successful renewal of our GP Out of Hours Service contract with NHS Fife for another three years, with two annual extensions to be agreed after that. This milestone marks a decade of close collaboration, delivering critical support to GPs attending patients in their homes across the region.
Our continued partnership with NHS Fife is a testament to the exceptional work of our Operations Manager, Blair Thomson, and his dedicated team. Their professionalism and commitment have played a vital role in maintaining the high standards of care that this service provides to the community.
As part of the new contract, EMED Group is excited to introduce a Patient Transport Service (PTS) vehicle to support patient transfers within hospital units in Fife. This marks our first PTS operation in Scotland, paving the way for enhanced patient care and staff development opportunities. Four new team members have been recruited to facilitate this service, further strengthening our presence in the region.
The addition of the PTS vehicle not only expands our service offering but also represents a significant step forward in our mission to grow and innovate. We are optimistic about the potential to build upon this service in the years to come.
