As part of our continued commitment to improving patient transport and healthcare logistics, EMED representatives recently spent the day at Cleric HQ. Patient Care Managing Director David Bradford was joined by Will Clark and Patrick Duggan from our BI & Systems team and Dawn Lucas from Central Operations, for a series of technical demonstrations and collaborative discussions with Cleric’s leadership and development teams.
During the visit, Cleric showcased the latest version of their Advanced Passenger Transport System (APTS), which they describe as a “full rebuild.” The new platform restores many of the features users appreciated in the classic desktop version, while introducing major back-end improvements for increased stability and performance.
The team also previewed the latest versions of Cleric’s driver and patient-facing apps. These apps have been redesigned with a focus on reliability, enhanced usability and improved functionality – key to streamlining EMED’s operational workflows.
Another exciting development is Cleric’s new optimised dispatch tool. EMED plans to pilot this software on a selected contract in the coming months to assess its real-world performance and potential benefits.
To support internal knowledge sharing, the BI & Systems team will also be launching a series of initiatives and forums that will help staff across the business get more from the platform and encourage best-practice adoption.
The visit was not only an opportunity to review technical developments, but also to discuss the current system challenges and collaborate on long-term improvements. It marks a positive step forward in the EMED Cleric partnership, with a shared goal of delivering better outcomes for patients through smarter digital tools.
