The story revolves around a 93-year-old gentleman who was being transported home by two of our Patient Care colleagues. Mr Goodyear’s daughter, unable to be present in person because of her disability and her brothers’ advanced age, entrusted us with ensuring her father’s comfort and safety during this important journey.
Her heartfelt compliment says it all:
“I do hope that this tribute reaches the two lovely female ambulance staff who brought my 93-year-old dad home tonight, the 6th of January. They were fantastic – so caring and professional. We couldn’t be there because I am disabled and my brothers are over 70 too. They made him comfortable and safe. I truly cannot thank them enough. I managed to speak to them over the camera we have placed outside.
Please pass this on to them. Well done for being so wonderful to our dad. He worked as a porter in Worcester during his later years, so he understands the system.”
Her words are a testament to the dedication and professionalism of our team. These two colleagues ensured the patient’s safety and comfort and went above and beyond to reassure his family. By connecting through the family’s outdoor camera, they bridged the physical distance and brought much-needed peace of mind to a family who couldn’t be there in person.
